Bonita Smrz obtained a real estate license in 1997 and has been a licensed Realtor in Wisconsin since 2007. Originally from Elmhurst Illinois, Bonita spent summers at her family home in Fish Creek. Moving to Door County in 1986 was like coming home. She was thrilled her husband said “Let’s move!” and they were able to raise 5 children in this wonderful community.  Now she is enjoying watching her granddaughter learn to love all the things she loves about this wonderful place

Bonita served as Leadership at the Door County Board of Realtors® for 6 years in many rolls, including President and Director. She has also managed short-term vacation rental property for the past 14 years, giving her unique insight into the second home/vacation market. Bonita currently serves on the Education Committee for the Door County Board of Realtors®.  She is constantly researching the latest technologies, tools, services, and seeking out the most current educational opportunities. This ensures her clients benefit from the best marketing and advanced products to help with the sale or purchase of a home, as well as helping with negotiation skills.
